On Saturday, I came home very tired after a wedding and errands in town. It had been an extremely busy week, and my body was not happy with me.
I sat down on the couch to rest for a while, and my youngest, Jake, came over and asked if he could rub my feet. He meant actually massage them with foot cream, and I really didn't want to deal with the mess. So I said no. He kept begging me though, to "please let me rub your feet. I don't have nuffin' else to do." So I finally gave in.
He went and got the foot cream.
I squirted it onto his hands and he got started.
His little hands were so soft and warm. He kept leaning over to smell the cream. It was so funny to see him smelling my feet!! He loves the way it smells...peppermint and tea tree oil.
He even did my toes!! Feels so good!!
All finished...
It's funny how refreshed I felt after that. Sometimes we just need to allow others to minister to us. Even if it is just a 5 year old little boy who wants to rub his Mommy's feet.
